Who is this workshop suited to?

Designed for beginners and photographers in need of a refresher course. If you want to get the most out of your digital camera and learn the basics, this is the course. If you are not familiar with your camera functions, please read the manual before the course and bring it along. The day will be filled with techniques, advice and tips.

By the end of the day

  • You should be more comfortable with the functions of your camera.

  • You’ll have taken your first steps on the road of manually controlling the settings on your camera.

  • You will have a basic understanding of the Exposure Quadrangle: using Shutter Speed, Aperture, ISO and Available Light to determine exposure.

Minimum requirements

You may bring a digital camera of any format.

Please read your camera manual thoroughly. If you have worked through your camera and used it successfully prior to the course, you will gain much more out of it. Ensure you have one or two memory cards as well as a fully charged battery. It won’t hurt to bring your charger or a spare battery.
