The 2-day Photojournalism workshop will take place in summer 2017, more details to follow.

The workshop will cover both theory and practice, involving lectures and discussions on contemporary photojournalism, its roots and where it finds itself now. We will look at the challenges and opportunities the present environment offers. The issues around recent fraudulent practices (in context) will be addressed and how to stay ethical in a difficult business environment. Indeed, what are the ethics around the dominant forms of photojournalism practiced nowadays?

On the practical part, participants will bring a shoot or a set of photographs to be imported through Adobe Lightroom (if you do not have this program, there is a one month free trial available) to industry best standards of data asset management.

There will be another practical session where participants have to make a portrait of a stranger and get a short interview with them. This work to be processed through Lightroom too, and a short text written.

Dates: July 8 & 9, 2017.

Cost: $750
