whAT TO WEAR

Comfortable shoes, comfortable clothes. You don't want to ruin that marvelous silk tie you got for Christmas with darkroom chemicals or totter around graveyards in stiletto heels. Wear shoes that you can stand in all day. Clothes that you don't mind spilling chemicals on. Also, you'll soon discover that shooting on film suddenly requires a lot of storage. Roomy pockets and hats are always a plus. We offer aprons for the darkroom.

WHAT TO BRING

  • Notebook

  • Pencils

  • A lightmeter or a lightmeter app for your phone

If you need to borrow a camera, please email us to arrange one beforehand.

LUNCH

We don't provide lunch on the workshops. On the days that we are out in the field, we recommend that you bring a packed lunch. On other days there are plenty of eateries along Commonwealth avenue and we encourage participants to join each other for a bite to eat.

At Digital Silver Imaging you have the option to enjoy a bite to eat at the local eatery next door, or bring a packed lunch.

water, water, water...

Even in cool weather, photography can be a thirsty affair, in hot weather it can become annoying if you're dehydrated and grumpy. Don't forget to pack a water bottle.
